Yesterday I finished a fascinating book, The Last Word by N.T. Wright, which covers the immense topic of Biblical authority. While I hardly know where to begin, I thought it might be worthwhile to approach some of what the book says and hopefully convince anyone who is interested to check it out.

Yesterday was Stacy and my one year anniversary! It’s crazy to think that it’s gone by so fast. Thanks to all the friends and family out there who helped out with our wedding and have prayed for and supported us in this first year of marriage.

I’ll do my best not to spoil to much of the plot in this post. Stacy and I just saw M. Night Shyamalan’s newest film, Lady in the Water. In my opinion, this is his best since the Sixth Sense (I haven’t seen The Village but I haven’t heard too many good things about it.)

I’ve decided to try something different with this second talk at the Summer INN. I’ve written it out in paper form, which I’m sure I’ll add to as I talk tonight. I thought I’d share that with my friends who read this blog, so you know what is being said. Thanks for your prayers.

This week, I’m talking about Daniel 9:1-19 at the INN. Please pray for me as I talk about prayer in the context of community. Please pray that God will give me words to say, because Ithink this is a huge topic and very valuable.

5:00 pm, 91 degrees outside, according to weather.com. While the clear skies are nice, this is a little bit uncomfortable. They say it’s even warmer down south, in the Seattle area.
