trip to Seattle and updates
A quick update for everyone after Stacy and I spent the day in Seattle for a couple of more doctor's appointments. We visited two doctors at Swedish Medical Center's Cancer Institute, getting additional opinions on her breast tumor biopsy and ultrasound results. Both doctors concurred with much of what we heard here in Bellingham, which was encouraging. We left feeling encouraged to continue with the process up here in Bellingham, while getting some support and advice from Seattle doctors as we go along. Things to be praying for today:
- Rest: We are both very tired. Prayers that Stacy will stay healthy and not get too run down by all the running around and phone calls to doctors.
- Good results: We've had a lot of encouraging news from the doctors and also need to get good test results back. She's scheduled for quite a few tests over the next few days (into next week) which should reveal more about what we're dealing with.
- Quick turnaround: We'd like to move on this quickly, so hopefully results get back and she can get into surgery quickly to remove the cancer.
We really appreciate all the help and prayers and messages and support we've received so far. I'm trying to pass on any messages I get to Stacy (even via Facebook, which she STILL hasn't signed up for :-D). We'd love to hear from you, so make sure you say hello. We love our friends and family and wouldn't know what to do without you all. Through it all, God is faithful. I don't mean to sound trite. Every day I'm believing that more and more. God is faithful.
