Writer’s Notebook
Maybe I’ll jinx myself with a post like this, but I’ve actually been pretty consistent over the last two weeks at this blog thing. And so, I contemplate letting other people know about where I’m posting and what I’m talking about.
Some people, it’s easy to say, "Hey, check out my blog, I’ve been writing about…blah blah blah." But for others, like co-workers or friends you don’t know that well and might be still figuring you out, it’s hard to want to share what you’re writing, especially when you’re as insecure about your convictions as I am.
Should a blog be a reflection of your thoughts and a place to wrestle out the ideas that you’re not sure of? I really think it should.
My wife is a teacher. One of the coolest things I think she does with her kids is called a "Writer’s Notebook." She brings kids a package of writing journals and tells the kids they are going to be getting a present, a surprise at a certain part of the day. Then, she brings out the package of notebooks, all wrapped up with paper and a bow, and gives them to the kids, for them to use as they explore the world of writing. It’s amazing to hear the amount of impact these writing journals can have in a kid’s life. You tell a kid they can write about whatever they want, just as long as their trying and really mean what they are saying. You give them ultimate freedom to explore their imagination and come up with new ways to tell the stories of their lives. It’s a liberation for a child, if done properly. I believe my wife is very good at leading kids into a place where they are able to reach down inside themselves and come up with some amazing things.
I want this to be my "Writer’s Notebook" in the sense that I want the freedom to talk about what I want, what’s bothering me, what amazing things I see in the world, what I believe I see God interacting in around me. And I also need a teacher’s critique: from my peers, my friends, those who know me and know my purpose for this. I desire to wrestle with new ideas, to share things I think are remarkable, and to grow as a writer.
If I ever tell you about my blog and you read this and other posts, keep me accountable to these goals. If you’re not interested in helping me grow, leave me alone. I’ll try to do the same for you. Thanks.

This sucks! Accept for the part about what you think. I think that is cool. The question is, do you write with the reader in mind or just yourself? And the questions you ask, have you already asked yourself or have you just thought it would be nice to ask them? Blah blah blah
I feel like the questions are being asked a lot inside me, so putting them out into the open helps me process.
What do you mean by process? Does that mean see what other poeple think and then form your opinion, or see what other poeple think so you can see how different they are from you?
